X-Ray IVP (Intravenous Pyelogram) is a contrast radiographic study used to examine the kidneys, ureters, and urinary bladder (KUB). Contrast dye is injected into a vein, and X-ray images are taken at different time intervals as the contrast is excreted through the urinary system. Purpose: Used to detect kidney stones, tumors, hydronephrosis, ureter obstruction, and urinary tract abnormalities.
