EEG Sleep Deprived / SDEG
Also Known As:
Sleep Deprivation EEG
SDEG Brain Test
Stress EEG
Activation EEG
Sleep Deprived EEG is performed after reduced sleep to increase the chances of detecting abnormal brain activity. It is particularly useful in diagnosing epilepsy and seizure disorders. The test enhances accuracy by capturing brain signals under sleep-deprived conditions, providing better diagnostic results.
Includes 4 Test Parameters
Standard EEG recording performed after the patient has been kept awake for a significant period (usually 24 hours).
To "stress" the brain into revealing abnormal electrical discharges that might not appear during a normal rested state.
The cerebral cortex.
Significantly increases the diagnostic yield for patients with suspected epilepsy who had a "normal" routine EEG.
