      CECT Entrography is a specialized high-resolution imaging study designed to visualize the small bowel in great detail. By using both oral and intravenous contrast, this procedure allows for the detection of inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn’s disease, as well as small bowel obstructions or tumors. The scan provides excellent visualization of the intestinal wall thickness and surrounding mesenteric structures. It is a critical diagnostic tool for gastroenterologists managing complex abdominal symptoms that require precise characterization of the small intestine.

    • Technique

      Large volume of neutral oral contrast followed by IV contrast to distend and highlight the small bowel.

    • Purpose

      To evaluate the small intestine for Crohn's disease, occult bleeding, or small tumors.
